What better way to spend your time on beautiful Mackinac Island than in one of the older family homes? Our house was built in the mid-1850s during the period when the Mackinac Island fishing industry was expanding. The industry was developed by the many Irish families who came as a result of the potato famine. The home was left vacant for a period of about forty years, ending when a new foundation, heating system and bathrooms were installed in 1957.
